Fast and accurate navigation in a region is a main task in rescuing operations. It is possible that during a disaster we won`t have access to maps or they can be outdated and inaccurate. That is why it is important for Squad members to be able to navigate their way successfully not merely with the help of “classical” tools – map and compass – but with GPS, programs for georeference on maps and navigation. And of course, the most important of all is experience which is gained through lots of training.
