Urban search and rescue

Squad members work hard and increase their skills in rescuing casualties from demolished buildings. The training includes a wide range of topics: urban management and coordination of rescue operations; specific threats, risk management, surveillance in demolished region, search technology, marking of searched areas – using the INSARAG system; methods for evacuation from tight spaces.

Valuable help is being brought to the members of the Squad by the “Disaster management” department of BRC and experts from the Ministry of Interior’s Fire Safety and Civil Protection professional qualification centre in Montana city.
